Back in the days, when I was in the middle school (junior high school), I belonged to the art club. We had a project to create a huge poster for our Halloween Dance Party. Even then, I had something to do with witches. My team created a huge poster of a witch, which was hung up in the gymnasium where the halloween dance took place.
Years went by, came to Japan and started an English School. I started the Halloween Trick or Treat way before anyone even talked about Halloween here in Japan. Maria the Witch of Aioidori leading close to 70-90 children at a time trick or treating around our neighborhood. We meet up at the end of Semei-Aioi Park and get in a big circle. We sing and dance for about 10 minutes or so before we go off for the Trick or Treat.
Now, Maria the witch will be on Yomiuri TV program Iroriro every Sunday at 6:30 a.m. Something about the witch and myself, there is always a connection. And you know black cats in our neighborhood follow me around for some reason.
